American Idol frontrunner Amelia Hammer Harris's sultry rendition of The Rolling Stone's "Gimme Shelter" won over the judges and earned her a ticket to Hollywood. But she is heading into the next round with more than just a golden ticket.

In an interview with GoodHousekeeping.com, Harris reveals that she and a fellow contestant have started dating since their auditions.

"One of the contestants on the show and I have kind of fallen in love," she says with a giggle over the phone. "His name is Taylor John Williams. It was very unexpected."

Harris, 26, says she planned to go into the singing competition with only one goal in mind: to win. But much to her surprise, her friendship with Williams, 26, soon blossomed into a full blown romance.

"We became friends the first day of Hollywood week," she shares. "At first, we were just really good friends and it was a very organic friendship. You go on this journey to be totally selfish, follow your personal dreams, and just do the best you can. [But] then I really connected with another musician, so now we're taking it on past Idol world into the real world. That's happening."

Harris and Williams are both currently in Los Angeles continuing their individual American Idol journeys. However, in their downtime away from the show, they've already booked a singing gig together, which they both have shared on their social media pages.

When asked whether the relationship will play out on television, Harris says there's a chance it might because she and Williams aren't necessarily trying to keep their romance a secret.

"You never know what's going to end up coming from the editing room onto the TV, because we film just hours and hours of footage of stuff that never makes it on," she explains. "So, I have no idea if it will be shown at all, but we're pretty proud of it."

Harris first garnered attention for her famous ties to music royalty. Her late father, Jack Hammer, wrote hit songs like "Great Balls of Fire" and "Yakitty Yak." Interestingly enough, it's Williams' own love and passion for music that has made Harris fall in love with him.

"[Taylor] has become someone that I ask for his opinions about songs, on technical things, singing, and he's really talented," Harris tells GoodHousekeeping.com. "I have a lot of respect for him and his musical ear. We both became friends and musical collaborators, and then realized that there was something a little more to this, and then it just kind of grew from there."

Williams's auditions has not widely played out on Idol yet. However, fans of singing competition shows might remember him from Season 7 of The Voice, in which he finished in fifth place.
